In 2006, nationwide consultation with Kōhanga Reo whānau informed the 2008 Regulatory Framework, resulting in distinct licensing criteria for Kōhanga Reo — Ngā Paearu whai Raihana mō ngā Kōhanga Reo e hono ana ki Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust 2008.

We now have that opportunity again to help shape what comes next for our kaupapa.

Regional consultation hui will be held throughout April and May to discuss proposed changes to the Kōhanga Reo licensing criteria.

The review focuses on:

• Governance, Management and Administration (GMA)

• Premises and Facilities (PF)

• Health and Safety (HS)

We made a difference in 2006 for our kaupapa — let’s make sure we do the same again by shaping changes that reflect the kaupapa of Kōhanga Reo.
