The latest edition of Te Onetū is now available.

Our Takurua 2026 edition is a bumper issue, with stories, kaupapa and updates from across Te Kōhanga Reo.

Matariki provides an opportunity to reflect on the year that has been, remember those who have passed, and look ahead to what is to come. This edition carries that whakaaro throughout, while also celebrating some significant milestones for our kaupapa.

• Te mihi ki ngā mate, acknowledging rangatira and pioneers of Māori education who have passed

• Korowaitanga ā Motu at Tūrangawaewae Marae, where 41 ākonga received their qualifications and the first graduates of the Te Kōhanga Reo Bachelor’s Degree were celebrated

• The signing of the new Consolidated Funding Agreement between Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust and the Ministry of Education
