Enrol, check or update your details to vote in the 2026 General Election
Kei aku rangatira makoha nui, tēnā koutou katoa.
The 2026 General Election will be held on Saturday 7 November 2026.
Voting is one way whānau can have a say in the future of Aotearoa and the decisions that shape our mokopuna, our Kaupapa and our communities.
To vote in the General Election whānau need to be enrolled by midnight, Sunday 25 October 2026. Anyone who enrols after Sunday 4 October 2026 will still be able to vote, but they will need to cast a special vote.
Whānau are encouraged to enrol, check or update their details now so they are ready to vote.
If you are Māori and already enrolled, you can choose to be on either the Māori roll or the general roll. If you would like to change rolls for this election you need to do this by midnight, Thursday 6 August 2026.
You can enrol, check or update your details online at vote.nz.
Every vote is a voice for the future. We encourage all eligible whānau to take a few minutes to make sure they are ready to have their say.
Hui tātou ka tū, wehewehe tātou ka hinga.
Ngā mihi nui,
Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust Board
