Winter brings wetter weather and a few extra risks for buildings and contents. Here are some important insurance reminders and maintenance tips to help protect your kōhanga during the colder months.
Check Your Insurance is up to Date
Make sure you’re not still paying insurance on items or fixtures that are no longer at your kōhanga.
Need to Make a Claim?
Complete the Claim Form to let us know as soon as something happens. Please send this within 24 hours of the incident.

Request an Insurance Refund
If your kōhanga has been overcharged or needs to recover funds for insurance payments no longer applicable, you can request a refund here:

Winter Building Maintenance Tips
Clear gutters and drains to prevent blockages and flooding
Check for loose roofing tiles or areas prone to leaks
Look for signs of dampness, mould or internal leaks
Inspect weatherboards for wear and repaint if needed
Test heaters and dehumidifiers before regular use
Tie down or store outdoor items safely before storms
