We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 He Manu Pīrere nō Te Kōhanga Reo scholarships. These scholarships support graduates of Kōhanga Reo, helping them pursue full-time tertiary study or vocational training, including trade apprenticeships.

The scholarships are designed to alleviate the financial pressures associated with education and training. Successful applicants may use their scholarship for course fees, materials, travel, or other study-related costs.

There are various scholarship categories available, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and trades. Applications close at 5:00 PM, Friday 4 April 2025.

Who can apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be a graduate of Kōhanga Reo, having attended for at least two years

• Be enrolled full-time in a recognised New Zealand tertiary institution or trade training programme

• Demonstrate their commitment to Te Reo Māori and the kaupapa of Kōhanga Reo
