Te Pātaka Rauemi

Te Pātaka Rauemi is where we share resources to help Kōhanga Reo and whānau walk the language journey.

Songs are a very important way to lift the spirit of your Kōhanga Reo as well as provide an easy avenue for whānau to begin speaking Māori.  An excellent way to fill your kete with waiata is through attending Te Whāriki a Te Kōhanga Reo wānanga.  Wānanga dates are either posted on this website, advertise by email or ask your regional office for further information.

There are also stories you may wish to share or an activity that the mokopuna enjoyed such as using natural resources as learning tools in your Kōhanga Reo.

So together let’s create an environment of wonder and exploration for the mokopuna and whānau, which leads to strengthening the bonds, kinship and identity as Māori.
