Timoti-Karetu-2-Koroneihana-2016

Dr Tīmoti Kāretu was one of the speakers who stood to pay tribute to the 10th coronation of Kiingi Tuheitia. The final day of a week long celebrations, of the King Tuheitia’s reign where the focus of the celebrations are to pay homage to the King, and to present issues for further consideration.

Papa Tīmoti spoke about the changes that Kōhanga Reo is undergoing, the revitalization of the language and acknowledged those who have passed on. His kōrero was supported by the song “E Rangi” which was sung before Kiingi Tuheitia, to acknowledge the his support as patron, to recognise the Kiingitana and the efforts of Tainui.
