Te Kōhanga Reo: Te Kōhanga Reo ki Ohau

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Kaiako will work to an approved whānau plan and lead in the preparation and implementation of Te Whāriki ā Te Kōhanga Reo.

Te Whāriki ā Te Kōhanga Reo learning programme is developed by kaimahi and whānau. (inclusive) 

The plan will include:

• Te Mahere ā Tau
• Mahere ā Wāhanga (10 week)
• Mahere ā marama, wiki, ia ra
• Matai Tamaiti
• Aromatawai
  The Evaluation plan will feed into a monthly report which provides feedback of the overall learning of mokopuna to parents / caregivers and whānau hui.

Kaiako will:

• Attend kaimahi and whānau hui, recognising that this is a key element of their role.
• Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of all mokopuna is paramount.
• Mahitahi alongside other kaimahi, mokopuna and whānau.
• Maintain are harmonious, positive, trusting and absolutely whānau friendly environment mo ngā mokopuna.
• Make sure that the resources and facilities are maintained and cared for to the highest standard.
• See that the mokopuna records and relevant documentation are professionally maintained and updated as a Team.
• Seek support, advice and pursue relevant training to upskill within the kaupapa.
• Support the overall quality care of mokopuna, kaimahi, manuhiri and whānau.
• Uphold Te Kōhanga Reo policies, rules and procedures as set out in the Tūtohinga.

ESSENTIAL Criteria:

1. E matatau ana ki te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.
2. He matatau ana ki Te Whāriki ā Te Kōhanga Reo.
3. He mōhiotanga ki Te Kōhanga Reo Kaupapa, Te Korowai, Te Tūtohinga me Te Ara Tūāpae.
4. Kia rua ngā tau e mahi ana he Kaiako i Te Kōhanga Reo.
5. Kua whai tohu Whakapakari (Te Tohu Paetahi)
6. Mārama pai ki te manaaki me te tiaki mokopuna.
7. Whakaae ki te mahi arowhai a ngā pirihimana (Police Vetting)

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm
