About the role

We are currently seeking 2x fixed term Kaiāhwina to join the E Tipu E Rea Taraia kaimahi in nurturing and teaching quality reo to our mokopuna. We desire individuals that are passionate about our mokopuna and building and maintaining healthy relationships with whānau. Hours of mahi will be 8:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday. This job is valid for 6 months with the potential to extend to 12 to the right candidate

Essential criteria 

• Knowledge or fluency in Te Reo Māori.
• Competent in Te reo māori me ōna tīkanga.
• Able to pass or hold a current police vetting check.
• Hold a first aid certificate or able to obtain one.
• Able to engage actively and work with mokopuna.
• Work effectively as a team member as this is a team environment.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills desired.
• Punctuality and reliability is a MUST!
• Showing initiative and can adapt with ease to our daily requirements with in E Tipu E Rea Taraia.
• Applicants can only be accepted with submission of a COMPLETED police vetting and VALID form of ID and birth certificate

Work days and hours 

• 35 hrs p/week
