Te Kaahu Kohanga Reo are seeking a Kaiawhina to join our Kōhanga Reo

Key responsibilities 

• Delivering te reo maori to our Tamariki mokopuna
• Actively supervising tamariki U5 years old
• Konae Mokopuna & Evaluation responsibilities (will be taught if not confident)
• Knowledge or fluency in Te Reo Māori.
• Holds or is wanting to work towards completing Te Ara Tuatahi tohu and/or Te Ara Tuarua Tohu and/or Te Tohu Paetahi.
• Able to engage actively and work with Mokopuna.
• Able to work effectively as a team player within a team environment.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Shows initiative.
• Familiar with Te Korowai and Te Whāriki. 

Essential criteria 

• Tohu Whakapakari (desirable)
• TA2 Tohu (desirable)
• Experience working in a kohanga reo setting 2+ years
• Fluent in te reo maori
• Clean police vet report
• Over the age of 18

Work days and hours 

• Monday to Friday: 6-7hours per day, anywhere between 7:45am – 3:30pm
