About the role

We the whānau of Ata Marie Te Kohanga Reo are seeking a kaiawhina to join our team of four with an immediate start for the successful applicant.

We are looking for a dynamic person who would love to join our team who will bring fresh ideas and be open to all styles of learning.

Essential criteria

• Be competent with Te Reo Maori me oona Tikanga or work towards upskilling.
• Be confident to deliver Te Reo Maori, both verbally and written
• Interested in up skilling through the Kohanga reo Kaupapa, passionate to learn and explore alongside our mokopuna, providing great learning experience and opportunities together.
• Be energetic, motivated and flexible, to assist in daily teaching and learning guiding tamariki within the Kohanga Reo Kaupapa.
• Be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
• Enjoy working in a team environment where our individual strengths can collectively enhance the overall quality learning experiences for our mokopuna.
• Enthusiasm and a strong desire to make a difference to Mokopuna in their early years while building strong links with their whānau.

It is also preferred that you:

• Hold either TA1 or TA2 otherwise willing to undertake Te Kohanga Reo training to achieve these goals.

   

• Have a current Police Vet clearance otherwise will fill in an application for a Police Vet clearance.

   

• Hold a current First Aid Certificate otherwise be willing to sit your First Aid Certificate

• Provide a curriculum vitae (CV) with your application.
