About the role
We the whanau o Ngā Tau e Toru Te Kōhanga Reo, are seeking the following person to join our Kohanga Reo.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Must hold a TA1 or TA2 qualification or willing to undergo training to obtain.
- Knowledge or fluency in Te Reo Māori and the Kaupapa.
- Familiar with Te Ara Tūāpae, Te Korowai and Te Whāriki.
- Has a current First Aid certificate or willing to work towards obtaining.
- Possess a full Driver's License or willing to obtain one.
- Ability to pass police vetting or have current through TKRNT.
- Available for early starts to accompany the waka run daily.
- Interested in up skilling through the K ōhanga Kaupapa, passionate to learn and explore alongside our Mokopuna.
- Able to work effectively as a team player within a team environment.
- Able to engage actively and work with Mokopuna.
- Must be punctual, reliable, trustworthy and show initiative.
- Able to do Mahere Ako and have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Enthusiasm and a strong desire to make a difference to Mokopuna in their early years while building strong links with their whanau.
We are looking for someone who is a team player, with their own touch of magic, fresh ideas and open to all styles of learning.
All applicants will be required to undergo a reference check and Police Vetting Check before commencement of employment.
Work days and hours
- Monday to Friday: 8.00am – 4.00pm
