About the role

Te Kōhanga Reo o Ngā Kuaka are seeking passionate individuals to join our kāhui kaimahi as kaiako for our tamariki mokopuna.

Key responsibilities

The Kaiako position will be responsible along a team of 5-year-olds and under, for ensuring the needs of whānau and tamariki are being met at all times whilst maintaining the values and principles of Te Kaupapa o Te Kōhanga Reo. You will also be responsible for contributing to effective planning using Te Korowai, assessing and evaluating the programme and activities and producing quality assessments of learning.

Key attributes sought include an understanding of Te Whāriki a Te Kōhanga Reo, familiarity with To Korowai – Kaupapa Māori Assessment for Learning and being a good communicator with good leadership skills.
