About the role

 “Ko te reo te mauri o te mana Māori” 

He ngākau nui ōu ki te whakarauora i tō tātou reo rangatira, ki te whakatō i ngā tāonga tuku iho ā kui mā, ā koro mō ngā tamariki mokopuna te take me kī ko ngā rangatira o te āpōpō. 

Kua tuwhera ngā tūranga kairīwhi ki tō mātou kohanga reo i Kamo. Mēnā he hiahia ou ki te uru mai ki tō mātou whare, ki tō mātou whānau, tēnā waea mai ki te Kōhanga Reo kia kōrero tahi ki te whānau, ka rua, tonoa mai tō tātai pūmanawa ki te īmera o te Kōhanga reo. 

We are looking for people who are passionate about caring for our treasured mokopuna, the revitalisation of te reo Māori and the desire to fulfil the hopes and aspirations of our tūpuna who fought for our language, culture and the establishment of the Kōhanga Reo movement. 

Te Kōhanga Reo ō Kamo are currently looking for people who are interested in reliver mahi. Essential criteria

 We are looking for kaimahi who: 

• Can feed te reo Māori and te ao Māori to our mokopuna (complete fluency is not required, but an ability to hold conversations with mokopuna is required) 

• A willingness to learn about the history and kaupapa o Te Kōhanga Reo 

• Ability to build and maintain good relationships with mokopuna, whānau and kaimahi 

• Flexibility to work at short notice (reliever role) 

• Pass Police Vetting
