The Whānau of Te Puāwaitanga ki Manurewa are seeking a Kaiawhina to join our Kōhanga in 2026.  The successful applicant will join a whānau that is caring and supportive. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Upholding Te Kaupapa o Te Kōhanga Reo
• Engaging and working with mokopuna
• Carrying out duties that ensure the safety and wellbeing of all mokopuna, whānau and kaimahi.

Essential criteria: 

• Confident speaker of Te Reo Māori
• Passion to work with mokopuna
• Ability to build strong relationships with our mokopuna, their whānau and other kaimahi
• Motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and willing to learn

Work days and hours:

• Monday to Friday
• Core hours - 9.00am to 3.00pm (Some flexibility may be required)

Guaranteed employment is subject to the applicant successfully meeting all of the criteria, completing an excellent interview and passing the mandatory Police Vetting check.
