Job details:
The whānau of Te Awa Kairangi Kōhanga Reo, based in Lower Hutt, are seeking kaimahi and kaiako to join our whānau.
This is more than a job, it is a chance to be part of a kaupapa Māori movement that places mokopuna at the heart of learning, guided by the values of whanaungatanga, manaakitanga and tino rangatiratanga.
Key Requirements
- Is fluent in Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga
- Loves working with mokopuna
- Well organized, and must have knowledge of Planning and Educa.
- Has computer skills (Educa knowledge a bonus)
- Is committed to the kaupapa of Te Kōhanga Reo
- Is open to training and development through Te Kōhanga Reo pathways
- Planning that aligns with Te Whariki
Bonus Attributes
- Organised, proactive, and culturally grounded
- Can play the guitar (for waiata and engagement)
Hours are between 8am and 3pm negotiable.
Successful applicant will be required to undergo a reference and a police vetting check
RENUMERATION: Dependent on qualifications and experience
