Te Kōhanga Reo: Te Awa Kairangi Kohanga Reo

Job details:

The whānau of Te Awa Kairangi Kōhanga Reo, based in Lower Hutt, are seeking kaimahi and kaiako to join our whānau.

This is more than a job, it is a chance to be part of a kaupapa Māori movement that places mokopuna at the heart of learning, guided by the values of whanaungatanga, manaakitanga and tino rangatiratanga.

Key Requirements

• Is fluent in Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga
• Loves working with mokopuna
• Well organized, and must have knowledge of Planning and Educa.
• Has computer skills (Educa knowledge a bonus)
• Is committed to the kaupapa of Te Kōhanga Reo
• Is open to training and development through Te Kōhanga Reo pathways
• Planning that aligns with Te Whariki

Bonus Attributes

• Organised, proactive, and culturally grounded
• Can play the guitar (for waiata and engagement)

Hours are between 8am and 3pm negotiable.
Successful applicant will be required to undergo a reference and a police vetting check
