Introduction
Here you’ll find information about current employment opportunities with Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust and Kōhanga Reo.
Anyone who wants to work with us at Te Kōhanga Reo or the National Trust must complete the Police vetting process. This is a key component of our risk assessment and management processes. See the Police Vetting Application page for more information.
Our ways of working are guided by Te Korowai, in particular, Whāinga (Goal) 5:
“ Te Kōhanga Reo will work to empower the mokopuna, parents, whānau, kaiako and kaimahi. All decisions are to ensure the provision of a quality service supported by the whānau, hapu and iwi. Te Kōhanga Reo is the learning base for the whānau alongside the mokopuna.”
Under the Equal Employment Opportunity principles supported by Te Kōhanga Reo National Trust Board, management of the appointment, salary, and health and care of Kōhanga Reo staff is the responsibility of Te Kōhanga Reo whānau.
